How delightful to find another community of inspired souls who love to meld art, social change and playfulness! InterPlay. We are collaborating to share an evening about Damanhur, tapping into the movement and magic.

These cards are my favorite. I use them everyday. Archetypal words for ease of interpretation, expressed in six different languages, including Damanhurian Sacred Language! mystical, practical. backdropped with Selfic paintings.

color of the goddess,
dissolving all resistance,
indicating the way out,
toward victory.

the blue of the sky
saturated with imaginative stories,
a cultivated frequency
nourishing the flight of the birds,
flying in spirals and chasing the sun
in a synchronized flock.
moving together
is an instinct
faster than thought.

the color of the sphere
that illuminates the path,
along it, you find the answer,
not the one written in words
so simple to decode,
but those sung
by the imprints in the sand,
in the memories that align
in a synchronized dance.
the nocturnal light
growing from the deep of night
toward the dawn
in imperceptible increments,
the moon, the stars
from asleep to awakening.

sciogliendo ogni resistenza,

della riuscita.

l’azzurro del cielo
saturo di storie fantasiose,
frequenza coltivata
nutrendo il volo degli uccelli
volando in spirale e seguendo il sole
in uno stormo sincronizzato.
muoversi insieme
è un istinto
più veloce del pensiero.

il colore della sfera
che illumina la strada
lungo la quale si trova la risposta,
non quella scritta in parole
così semplici da decodificare
ma quelli cantati
dagli impronti nella sabbia,
nelle memorie che si allineano
in una danza sincronica.

la luce notturna
crescendo dalla notte fonda all’alba
in incrementi impercettibili,
la luna, le stelle
dal sonno al risveglio.

It’s here. at the desk with a pen in hand (or keyboard under the fingers in this era of digitized feathers and ink), almost midnight… past midnight… way past midnight. in the silence, listening to the rhythm of hearts pulsing ever more in unison, in dreams… translating heartbeats into images. transmutation of pure emotion in a trail of color, vision, sensory delights. this is the alchemy of the artist of life.

although I am not an artist, not really… I am an archivist. every encounter, thought, sensation and impulse – from the first time I saw you to the most recent courageous tale – everything is conserved and catalogued in the library of memory – the astral one and the random access one – in the subversive library of congress and the one of regressions in time and past lives. the university one with interminable shelves on tracks with steering wheels to move them left and right, creating an opening just big enough for a human body to enter and search through the volumes of knowledge and history, with the ever present risk of finding yourself crushed between the section on the French revolution sliding closed against the discourses on macroeconomics… reminding us that even research is a daring journey.

in this immense spaceship, traveling between time empires and stellar conquests, millennial lifetimes and oracular knowledge, my place is much smaller than all that. the bed of a cat that prowls at night and sleeps little, purring and gathering intuitions. I am like any of us, never essential and always unique.

Dov’è il mio posto?

E’ qui. alla scrivania, penna in mano (o tastiera sotto le dita in quest’epoca di piume ed inchiostro digitalizzati), quasi mezzanotte… oltre… ben oltre… nel silenzio, ascoltando i ritmi dei cuori che pulsano sempre di più in unisono nei sogni… traducendo i battiti in immagini. trasmutazione di emozione pura in un tragitto di colore, visione, delizie sensoriali, questa l’alchimia dell’artista della vita.

Ma io non sono un’artista, veramente… sono un’archivista. ogni incontro, pensiero, sensazione e impulso – dalla prima volta che ti ho visto all’ultimo racconto coraggioso – tutto conservato e catalogato nella biblioteca della memoria – quella astrale e quella ad accesso casuale – nella biblioteca del congresso sovversivo e quello del regresso nel tempo e nelle vite. quello universitario con le interminabili scaffalature sui binari con i timoni per spostarle destra e sinistra, aprendo giusto lo spazio per un corpo umano d’entrare e pescare tra i volumi di conoscenza e storia, sempre con il rischio di trovarsi schiacciato dentro con la sezione sulla rivoluzione francese scorrendo incontro i discorsi di macroeconomia… ricordandoci che anche la ricerca è un viaggio spericolato.

In questa astronave immensa, viaggiando tra imperi temporali e conquiste stellari, vite millenari e conoscenze oracolari, il mio posto è molto più piccolo di tutto ciò. il letto d’un gatto che gira di notte e dorme poco, facendo le fusa e raccogliendo intuizioni. io sono come tutti noi, mai essenziale e sempre irripetibile.
